Immigration

There is a reason people want to come to the U.S.: America continues to be a land of great opportunity, freedom, economic advancement, and relief from oppression – all great qualities. But I firmly believe it must be done legally.

Fixing the problem of illegal immigration starts with enforcing the immigration laws already on the books.  We must secure our borders, especially the southern border where drug cartels threaten the peace and security on both sides of the border.  Securing our borders can be done economically, and we have the technology to do it.  What we lack is the political will to do it. And under no circumstances do I support amnesty for those in this country whose first act here was to break our existing laws.
